Hawaii
Hawaii became the 50th state on August 21, 1959. It is the only state that consists entirely of islands. Hawaii’s capital and largest city is Honolulu, located on the island of Oahu, with a city and county population of over 900,000. The largest of the eight main islands is the Island of Hawaii, often referred to as the Big Island. Located in the Pacific Ocean, Hawaii is home to many ports, including the Port of Honolulu, Barbers Point and Kahului, allowing people to easily find a Personal Injury Lawyer. Hawaii has the fourth longest coastline in the US at 750 miles. Two interesting facts about Hawaii – it does not observe daylight savings time and most of Hawaii has only two seasons, the wet and dry seasons. Hawaii’s state mammal is the Monk Seal and the state gem is Black Coral.
