I was injured on the job at the
beginning of last year. We had absolutely no money in savings, no
secondary income of any kind, and no family members we could ask for
money.
Credit was good, so we ended up
taking out a personal loan. Both my wife and I knew that money wouldn’t
last long. I sent off my Workers Comp claim papers quickly, expecting
an equally quick response.
As is the case with many other
people I’ve talked to in a similar situation, the process was anything
but quick. My initial Workers Comp claim was denied.
My wife and I were horrified.
Despite her own medical problems, she began working a night job. All
the while, my employer was threatening to terminate my employment
entirely if I didn’t return to work. A friend told me this wasn’t
legal, and encouraged me to look into hiring a Workers Comp Lawyer
Houston.
I figured that even if I didn’t
pay to get help with my Workers Comp paperwork, it would at least be a
good idea to get some hourly advice.
I went to a law firm in Houston
called Ogletree Abbott. I read online that they were caring Workers
Comp lawyers who fight for their clients. I was afraid that I wouldn’t
get the maximum Workers Comp benefits, so I also wanted to ask them for
advice and help on that.
I actually ended up using them
to help fill out and file my appeal paperwork. The Workers Comp appeal
was accepted, and I ended up getting a ton more benefits than I thought
I would! I'm glad I called a Texas
workers
comp attorney.
I would encourage anyone in a
similar situation to contact Ogletree Abbott at 1-800-779-4950. You’ll
be so glad you did. You don’t want to gamble your family’s future on
possibilities. An experienced Workers Comp Lawyer Houston is the person
to go to with your claim.
